Silpakorn University’s Beach Clean Up to Mark Its 65th Anniversary

Rayong – Silpakorn University took a group of eco-minded youngsters to Payoon Beach in Rayong to participate in a beach restoration project initiated by Silpakorn University and Ban Chang Municipal District to commemorate SU’s 65th Anniversary with a support from Chevrolet of a caravan of environmental-friendly vehicles, led by the CNG-powered Chevrolet Optra, recently transported.

The “Ruam Rak Talay Thai Hai Suay Sai Rai Kaya” (Save Thailand’s Seas – Keep Our Beaches Clear of Rubbish) event featured a host of activities including a waste collection contests, an educational session on the ecological impact of garbage on marine life and advice on what simple steps everyone can take to help reduce the problem of pollution, including the selection and use of “Green” products that do less damage to the environment. On this occasion, GM and Chevrolet also took this opportunity to raise awareness of the role of eco-friendly Chevrolet vehicles and its technologies in the drive towards a greener future.
