• Optimus Prime and team is back with new Autobots

• Specially-decorated Chevrolet Models in conjunction with Transformers 2: Revenge of the Fallen
Bangkok (June 22, 2009) - Transformers 2: Revenge of The Fallen premiered to a group of invited journalists and VIPs today at SF World Cinema at Central World Department Store. The much-awaited sequel to the action-fantasy movie featured new members to the Autobot family, based on current and future Chevrolet vehicles, including:
• Sideswipe, the Corvette visionary prototype.
• Skids and Mudflap – the twin Autobots based on the Chevy’s Beat (the prototype that will go into production as the Chevy Spark in 2011) and the Chevy Trax, another revolutionary cutting-edge multipurpose vehicle
• Jolt – an Autobot developed on the back of Chevy’s upcoming Volt extended-range electric vehicle.
• Bumblebee – the heroic Autobot based on Chevrolet’s Camaro concept from the first ‘Transformers’ movie, returns with a high-performance attitude.
”Chevrolet Thailand is proud to become a part of a movie that a lot of people have been waiting to see this year,’ said Mr. Antonio Zara, Vice President of Sales, Marketing, and Aftersales Service, Chevrolet Sales Thailand (CST). ”I’m sure the sequel is every bit as exciting as the first ‘Transformers’ movie. I can’t wait to see how our cars such as the Beat, Trax and Volt transform into new Autobot characters.”
In addition to a number of activities surrounding the promotion of ‘Tranformers 2: Revenge of the Fallen’, CST has also purpose-built two six-foot robots based the popular AVEO and OPTRA models. Both the robots were displayed at the gala premier event, Thereafter, the robots will go on a ‘Bangkok/Thailand tour’ at the following locations:
1. Central World Department Store, Bangkok. (July 3 – 8)
2. Forecourt of ZEN Department Store, Bangkok. (June 23 – 29)
3. Tesco Lotus, Korat (July 2 – 5)
4. Central Airport, Chiangmai (July 10 – 12)
5. The Mall Bangkapi Department Store, Bangkok (July 10 to 15)
6. Carrefour HadYai, Song Khla (July 16 to 19)
7. Central Rattanatibet Department Store, Bangkok (July 17 to 22)
8. Tesco Lotus Phuket, (July 23 to 27)
9. Central Festival Pattaya Beach, Chonburi,(July 24 to 29)
10. V Square, Nakhon Sawan, (July 31 to August 4)
11. Fari Plaza Khon Kaen, (August 7 to 9)
A photo lucky draw will also be organized around the Thailand Autobots. Participants will be required to take a photo of the Autobots with their mobile phones and send the image to <4535554> via MMS. Alternatively, they may choose to use their digital cameras, and the image can be uploaded to http://www.chevrolet.co.th. Lucky winners of the lucky draw stand a chance to win one of the the five “Beatmix Bumblebee: Speaker for MP3 Player’ and more. The contest ends on August 9, 2009 and the names of the winners will be posted on the same Chevrolet website.
