New Chevrolet AVEO E20 Proves ‘Small is Smart’ Flexible Fuel Options Make “Designed-Big” Sedan the Cost-effective Alternative

Bangkok- A ‘small car with a BIG design’, the new Chevrolet AVEO E20 is ready to roll, bringing even more benefits for cost-conscious motorists.
Chevrolet Sales (Thailand) is gearing up for the nationwide launch of the AVEO E20 at its 103 Chevrolet showrooms across Thailand on 29 October 2008.
The E20 version of this ‘small car with a BIG design’, will be available in standard, LS, LSX and LT models as well as a dynamic ‘Sport SS’ version and a desirable, high-end ‘LUX’ model. All AVEO E20 models are configured to run on gasoline, E10 or E20 fuel, offering motorists affordability and convenience, both in town and on the open road.
“The Chevrolet AVEO has been well received by both the local and global market,” said Antonio Zara, Vice president of Sales, Marketing, and Aftersales Service, Chevrolet Sales (Thailand) Ltd. “Enhancing the AVEO to run on E20 is the sensible fuel option for customers who demand a compact car at an affordable price. We have put the new AVEO E20 through exhaustive tests to ensure the vehicle’s durability and performance using this new fuel.”
As well as increased fuel flexibility, AVEO customers can be confident in the performance of the newly configured sedan. Before its release, Chevrolet engineers completely overhauled the fuel system to make it ready for E20, changing seals, pumps, pipes and gauges to run on the new fuel and prevent erosion from the ethanol. These changes will ensure longer-lasting, higher performance for drivers of the Chevrolet AVEO E20.
Chevrolet is introducing its new AVEO E20 with a range of attractive promotional offers starting at only 500,000 Baht for 1.4 MT BASE to a competitive 679,000 Baht for the top of the range 1.4 AT LUX.
While offering the latest fuel options at an affordable price, Chevrolet has not compromised on comfort. Every new AVEO E20 model comes with European standard Euro-ride Suspension: McPherson Strut front suspension with stabilizer bar and coil springs and torsion beam rear suspension with European Helical Springs and gas-filled shock absorbers, ensuring a smooth ride, effective road-holding and comfortable cornering.
Beneath the hood the multipoint fuel injection, 4-cylinder, 16 valve, 1.4 litre, 1,399 cc generates 94bhp at 6,200 rpm and 130 Nm of torque at 3,400 rpm. Despite it’s ‘city vehicle’ dimensions: length 4,310 mm, width 1,710 mm, height 1,505 mm and wheelbase 2,480 mm, the talented Chevy designers have still managed to maximize cabin size with more than enough room for four people to travel in comfort.
