RESPONSIBILITIES
- To work on inbound customs clearance process for pre-production, production material, include import ME under FTZ/FTZ and duty paid shipment
- To monitor & review import process from overseas, both consolidated and none consolidated shipment , to FTZ and FZ, or other privileges which will be thereafter implemented
- To work closely with material team, ensure that import shipment process is implemented smoothly, clearance on time and in aligned with TH customs requirements
- To perform monthly customs import material reconciliation process (at recv. point), report and adjust in customs system
- To provide operational recommendations & suggestions for an existing and future customs operation
- To establish, maintain and continuous improvement inbound and scrap processes. Being a customs leader for FTZ/FZ scrap process
- To work closely with customs brokers and review import monthly report before submission to TH customs
- To day-to-day manage & lead with inbound customs broker performance and customs broker KPI review
- To extend and make annual payment of FTZ/FZ fee, and regular update FTZ/FZ layout.

Primary purpose of this position is to provide maintenance services and take lead team for non-production machines and equipments to ensure functional reliability to meet requirements of Powertrain plant.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Describe the nature of responsibilities and/or the duties to be performed.
• Support launch team for commissioning non- production equipment installation and building construction
• Follow GM safety procedures such as Lockout/Tagout , PPE and GM policies 100% of the time
• Perform Preventative Maintenance tasks ( Maximo program) for non-production machine, utility and building
• Daily check and maintain for utility system to support plant running
• Performs repairs and maintenance on facilities and utility such as electrical equipment, doors, windows, lighting, cable, HVAC and ceilings
• Support handy and facilities request works such as moves furniture, network additional, hangs/moves boards and other equipment within the plant
• Maintains general office equipment or supplies and requests service on equipment as needed.
• Troubleshoots problems and root cause analysis in the event of equipment failure and is able to recommend the needed parts for the effective repair of the failed equipment.
• Attends appropriate training and cross functional meetings related to job responsibilities.
• Contributes to development and improvement efforts of facility policies and procedures.
• Works effectively with other internal departments to resolve issues and continous improvement (CI) about their respective facility.
• Support daily assignments and perform other duties as assigned by supervisor
• Perform GM-GMS Actively ( 7 wastes elimination concept), work place organize and 5S standard
• Take lead for facilities maintenance team to compliance with GM standard
• Helpdesk controller and maintain system
Knowledge:
• At least 25 year old and High vocational certificate / diploma in Mechanical, Electrical or any related fields.
• Experience 5-7 years experience in general building maintenance and HVAC experience
• Electrical, HVAC, and Landscaping/Grounds keeping skills required.
• Familiarity workplace environmental, health, and safety programs and policies helpful
Skill:
• Understand and reading piping and electrical drawings/prints and specifications
• Basic knowledge in English
• Problem Solving skill and works well in team environment
• Basic leadership skill and work assignment

In the assigned area of responsibility:
• Local Design and Development – Have the overriding responsibility for multiple projects that input to the program assigned.
• Corporate Knowledge – communicate, mediate with and influence key stakeholders
• Part releasing – Ensure all parts are released correctly.
• Engineering Change – Authorise solutions and allocates resources. Escalate if solutions extends beyond own jurisdiction.
• Component Validation – Schedule a vehicle validation program in line with engineering requirements.
• Pilot builds – coordinate with all stakeholders to achieve program timing
• Problem Solving – Integrate information from a range of sources to assess and prioritise problems. Lead others through the evaluation of solutions against criteria. Review investigations and provide direction and advice.
• Manufacturing and Assembly – support all manufacturing areas to resolve any engineering issues
• Cost reduction – Initiate and lead cost reduction initiatives as per program targets
• Communication – Communicate across the organisation to transfer relevant information in and out of the immediate work area. Build effective communication channels within and outside the organisation.
• Leadership – Manage teams’ performance, set targets, review progress and provide feedback. Plan for the development of the teams capability by identifying long and short term needs.
• Budget – Estimate and manage program budget to support program requirements.
RESPONSIBILITIES

In the assigned area of responsibility:
• Manage a team of engineers to deliver all the engineering requirements of the program assigned
• Evaluate and resolve engineering issue. Designating task or escalating to other stakeholders as appropriate.
• Estimate budgetary requirements for each program phase
• Deliver program within budget
• Provide forecast to support GM Thailand BPD.
• Ensure part lists are correct for each build.
• Conduct feasibility studies for new markets and products.
• Represent product engineering at the Program Execution Team (PET) and Vehicle Program Review (VPR) meetings
• Approve all program related engineering changes in E2
• Implement and follow established engineering change control process.
• Review Product Description Summary (PDS) and advise and influence stakeholders accordingly.
• Approve engineering Statement of Requirements (SOR)
• Develop and approve GM Thailand local part development list
• Approve supplier selection for local part development
• Input PCN engineering cost to PET.
• Manage all Program Change Notice (PCN) according to agree timing.
• Prepare and present information for technical and non-technical audiences at all levels.
• Manage the resolution of all component failures during vehicle validation.
• Work with GM quality departments to achieve a swift resolution of field and plant problems using the PRTS+ process.
• Initiate and implement ‘Value Analysis, Value Engineering’ cost reduction initiatives as per program targets
• Ensure local parts are compliant with all legal market requirements
• Coordinate individual component validation requirements to create an overall vehicle validation testing plan in line with the program timing
• Develop and lead organisational change across multiple teams
• Influence strategic technical decisions that impact whole-of-function or beyond.
• Review, evaluate and mentor team members
• Represent product engineering in Production Launch Management Review Meeting.
• Liaise with Vehicle Chief Engineer (VCE) from program home room.
Experience required
• Broad automotive engineering product knowledge.
• Extensive project management experience within GM and with external suppliers.
• Experience of program management within GM.
• Detailed knowledge of GM engineering design, GVDP and release processes.
• Detailed knowledge of GM manufacturing, after sales, marketing, supply chain, quality and purchasing processes highly desirable.
